Well, I have read some of the various tributes to you my dear friend and I am in no way surprised to read how much you were loved and cherished, by all your family and friends, not least of all by any means Shaun, who clearly adored you.

I think back to when I first met you when I was living in Blairgowrie. I knew Shaun well, having worked for him for several years.  I took to you immediately with your wonderful warmth and friendly disposition and then Bridg and Jo became great friends and you spent many afternoons at my house after picking Bridg up at school, which was of course just around the corner from where we lived. We just became such close good friends and shared everything, good and bad. How I loved our little tete a tete and the laughs and fun we shared, and lying in the sun by my pool and swimming with the girls. Such wonderful fun times we shared and the braais etc at our house as well as our visits to Pretoria to see you and Shaun. And also the get togethers when you and Shaun lived in Parkhurst. So many years of friendship. My last visits were  of course in England last year in June and it was so special to have the good fortune of seeing you again, expecially knowing you were not well. I had really hoped to see you both again this year in June, but of course Covid put a stop to that and I never did get to see you again, which truly saddens me, but you and I know you will remain in my heart forever and I will always cherish our wonderful friendship and the special memories we shared. RIP my beautiful friend. Til we meet again.
