You and I go back a long way together…. 

The first 25 years of our lives we did not even know each other.

The second 25 years we made up for it .

At first we were collegueas and had lots of fun together.

Soon we became friends and shared many special moment together.

Than we became family and I still wonder why just friends wasn't enough.

At times there was a big distance between us.

At times we drifted apart a bit.

However as soon as we got together again the connection was there and we bonded again.

Now we are in the third quarter of our lives.

We are both 60 years old.

The North Sea lies between our homes but whenever we get a chance we visit each other by train, boat or plane.

Shaun, David, You and I have had many precious moments together.

The necklace is filled with glass beads and every bead is a symbol of a moment that we shared together, in the past and will share in the future.

Hopefully there will be many more.
